The modifications I made were not due to defects in the design but rather the fact that I usually have to add more fabric to any design to cover my bust. Given this, I am not sure why so many knitters had problems with the fit. It seemed quite straightforward (I realized while knitting it that it would be this shawl with sleeves, not a "bolero" per se. Part of me wishes I had tried it with different wool-- like the one suggested in the pattern. Even though I can't fit a coat over it (in the London cold that feels impractical-- but in spring it will be perfect) it remains the most beautiful thing I've ever knit. I have seen women wearing this design on the streets of London and it is like this beacon of stylishness and knitting wonder. Thank you for raising the bar!
